The Lauder Employment Center Galilee, founded in 2020, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of quality employment opportunities and personal growth in this beautiful region of Israel. Through strategic partnerships with local businesses, academic institutions and innovation centers, the Center connects between them and quality and ambitious job seekers, assisting them in weaving a pathway to building the careers they desire. Our mission is twofold – to develop the skills and aspirations of young people, to reaffirm their choice of the Galilee as their home, while forming quality connections that will reinforce the local economy. Through levering many years of experience and a widespread network of ties that includes academic institutions such as the Tel Hai College, Ort Braude, Kinneret College, Migdal Teffen, Elbit, Rafael and others, the Lauder Center motivates flourishing and renewal throughout the Galilee. The Lauder Employment Center Galilee has 2 centers – the one in Acre and the second in Kiriyat Shemona, providing support for the entire northern ecosystem in the Galilee and Golan Heights. The centers support three major audiences: job seekers, companies and organizations, and small businesses, through accessible tools, providing knowhow, content and connections that will promote the possibility of them finding quality work in their professions in the northern region. In addition, we operate unique programs that address different audiences according to their emergent requirements. These audiences include small businesses, evacuees, local startups, and more.

Founders' Vision

Ronald S. Lauder

President of Lauder Employment Center

“In the Negev, the Jewish youth shall be put to the test, in its pioneering strength, its vigor of spirit and its creative and conquering initiative…in the Negev the creative thinking skills and the scientific and research capability shall be tested.” (David Ben-Gurion, “The Significance of the Negev,” January 7, 1955)It is in this spirit that we are currently establishing the Lauder Employment Center, a large-scale endeavor that is intended to assist in the development of the Negev and in the rapid advancement of the City of Be’er-Sheva. The opening of the Center constitutes an important milestone, which will provide high-quality, professional tools for professional guidance, employment solutions and job creation.Currently, a large segment of university graduates do not remain in the Negev after the completion of their studies due to a lack of challenging jobs. I am convinced that this reality can be changed through an employment horizon and employment opportunities that we shall offer the graduates, in cooperation with industry and business leaders. The establishment of the LEC is primarily designed to entice university and college graduates to continue to live in the Negev and the Galilee and to build their future here.
Located in the center of Be’er-Sheva, a vibrant and rapidly changing city, is Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, a well-established academic institution that produces a new generation of scientists, engineers, researchers, physicists and a managerial cadre every year, from which will arise the future generation of leadership of the Negev and of the State of Israel.
I am convinced that the Israeli industry will be wise enough to utilize these brilliant minds for the benefit of the Israeli economy. In view of the competitive and changing global reality of the 21st century and in the spirit of entrepreneurship and the rapid development of the City of Be’er-Sheva, the transfer of knowledge-intensive industries to the Negev, the relocation of IDF units and bases to the Negev, along with the identification of the unique DNA of the graduates, are essential for the city to become, as promised, the “Opportunity Capital of Israel.”The opening of the Lauder Employment Center is also a conceptual opening that will continue to develop into additional services over time, which will drive the Negev and the Galilee forward. My project partners and I are proud to be part of the national effort that expresses confidence and support in the City of Be’er Sheva and the entire Negev, where the true future of the State of Israel lies.

Ronald Lauder, President of Lauder Employment Center
The Lauder Employment Center Negev-Galilee for the Advancement of Quality Employment ("Lauder Employment Center"), founded in Southern Israel in 2015, and expanded to the Galilee in the last few years, provides critical employment services to residents and would-be residents of the Negev and Galilee.  A primary barrier to entry for relocation is lack of employment, and in order to  attract new residents to the Negev and Galilee (as well evacuated residents and returning residents subsequent to October 7), it is incumbent upon us to do all in our power to assist with high quality employment.  Through one-on-one consultancy, workshops, networking, and job fairs, the Center facilitates much needed economic growth by connecting employers with potential employees. The Center works with university students who are ready to graduate or have graduated recently,  Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers returning from service, those who lost jobs due to the current situation, and those who simply want to relocate, to enhance their interview skills, help them find their passion or retool existing skills to fit the needs of the current war economy, as well as looking ahead to “the day after”. The Center works with potential employees to teach them how to tell their story, and assist in identifying job opportunities. Additionally, partnerships and relationships are developed with local employers who are committed to finding highly skilled talent. The Lauder Employment Center runs programs to help businesses become better employers especially during this challenging time, and to identify talented employees, regardless of background. As 99.5% of the businesses in Israel are small to medium sized businesses, we work with business owners in the Galilee and Negev all year round, with special programs and consultancy, giving them tools on how to run their business and since October 7, how to keep afloat.
